RESOLVED: UIT Service Interruption - multiple services including some web and email, Thursday, October 27th

As of approximately 6:45 a.m. this morning, a minor system change was made that triggered an unexpected outage of some services, including some York websites, some functions of central email/Lotus Notes including the ability to send to mailing lists, and access to email on mobile devices. Work to restore services commenced immediately, and most services were restored as of 11:45 a.m.

As of 12:40 p.m., all services have been restored.

UIT understands the impact such outages have on the York community and is fully investigating the root cause of the issue.

As a result of this morning's scheduled server and network maintenance, a number of services/applications are not fully operational, including:

1. Passport York: operating at a degraded state

2. Listserve: currently not delivering mail

3. Lotus Notes Sametime: currently cannot login

There will be slower logins experienced or an inability to login at this time. The issue is currently being investigated by UIT.
