To all users of Undergraduate ResNet:
We have heard your complaints regarding slow speeds in ResNet during the last couple weeks and we have been working to address the capacity limitations that are the cause of these problems.
UIT has been implementing a series of changes to solve the problem that are planned to complete on the morning of Friday October 25th. When complete, we are confident these changes will eliminate the current issue with unacceptably slow speeds during hours of peak usage. We understand the importance of the ResNet service to our students and we are also implementing a $3 million upgrade of the Undergrad ResNet network that will be continuing through the year.
We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to solve the current problem as quickly as possible.
