If you have forgotten your username or password then follow the instructions below:
Method 1. Change your Passport York password using your security questions. This requires you to answer previously set security questions.
- Reset your Passport York password or look up your username online
- (To look up your username without changing your password, go through the steps as though you are going to change your password. At the end of the process you will be shown your Passport York username.)
Method 2. Changing Passport York in person at William Small Centre:
You can go in person to the Helpdesk counter in the Computing Commons which is located in the William Small Centre. You must bring your ID:

Method 3: Changing your Passport York password via Email
In order for us to reset the Passport York password for you via email, send an e-mail to accounts@yorku.ca with the following for verification:
- Your student number
- York email address or username
- Your full name
- Your date of birth
- Your home mailing address on school record
- Postal code on school record
- We need to see either your Driver's License, or Passport, or Birth Certificate, please choose one of the following options:
Option 1: PREFERRED (FASTER)
Scan an the piece of ID (or take a digital picture of it with a phone or a digital camera) and attach to the e-mail (along with info from steps 1 - 6).Option 2: LESS EFFICIENT (SLOWER)
Along with the e-mail (of steps 1 - 6), fax a legible photocopy to 416 736 5830,
to the attention of accounts@yorku.ca with student number as reference (please make sure that your name and date of birth are readable). - Wait for two business days, we will reset your password and send you your new password by e-mail (at the e-mail address from which you send us e-mail).
METHOD 4: Changing your Passport York Password via Phone
In order for us to reset the Passport York password over the phone at 416-736-5800, you will need to provide us with the following information:
- Your student number
- York email address or username (if you remember)
- Your full name
- Your date of birth
- Your home mailing address on school record
- Postal code on school record
- The last 4 courses you took
ATTENTION: Once your Passport York password has been reset, please update your security questions at https://wrem.sis.yorku.ca/Apps/WebObjects/SAM.woa/wa/DirectAction/sam. Use the link titled "Update my security questions" under the "My Personal Info" section.
Once your security questions have been updated, you can reset your password via the security questions. If you ever forget your Passport York login information, you can reset it.
If you already know your current password and want to change it then follow the instructions below:
- Go to Manage My Services (mms.yorku.ca)
- Click on the check box beside “Click this box before logging in to change your Passport York password”. Log in using your Passport York username and password.
- Then follow the prompts to change your password.
